It is an important time to be in children’s theatre.
As the trend of reduced arts funding in public schools continues, more and more Chicago children rely on Emerald City Theatre as their gateway to meaningful theatre experiences.
We had a good year last year, but more needs to be done, considering that nearly one-third of elementary school children in Illinois receive no arts instruction.
When a child experiences an Emerald City show or class, she’s building problem-solving skills, and he’s gaining confidence to create and share his own ideas. We need your help to continue to bring these skills to all Chicago children.
