And we know that children who participate in theater have greater self-confidence, improved literacy and math skills and greater problem solving skills. In Session 1 we focus on the process of creating characters and stories. While doing these things we are also building confidence, building teamwork and building community. Come join us!

Sing! Sing! Sing! - Wednesdays at 3pm and Saturday at 9am

New Class! Looking to unleash your inner rock star? All of us have a song to sing, and this exciting class encourages students to let their voices be heard! Our professionals will guide students on a musical journey exploring singing techniques and lots of fun musical instruments. This class will touch on many favorite American standards of rock and roll.

Fairy Tale Adventures - Mondays and Tuesdays at 3pm

This imaginative class encourages children to explore the basics of storytelling, including conflict, character, and setting. Popular Fairy Tales will provide the inspiration for this movement and ensemble building session. Students will present their own unique fairy tale on the last day of class!

Jump Up and Dance! - Thursdays at 3pm

New Class! Take your energy to the dance floor! This fun body movement and dance class will help students explore how their bodies groove to music through basic hip-hop and modern dance. On the last day, you’ll get the chance to show off all of your boogie-woogie steps!

For ages 5-8, 45 minute classes, tuition: $195

Musical Theatre - Wednesdays at 4pm and Saturdays at 10am

Emerald City’s hottest class is back! Students will get the opportunity to learn songs, choreography, and scenes from a variety of your favorite musicals! Work with Emerald City’s theatre professionals on scene study, voice and diction, improvisation, singing, and dancing for the full professional experience.

Storybook Theatre - Monday at 4pm

This fun and exciting acting and improv class will allow students to shine! Our professionals will work with students to create their own scripts based on their favorite Storybooks! Using lots of imagination and plenty of spontaneity, this class will allow students to tell their own version of their favorite tales! Students will get to perform their original works on the final class day for family and friends.

Triple Threat: DANCE - Thursday at 4pm

New Class! Is your child looking to sample a little bit of everything? Explore a wide range of dance styles such as hip hop, modern dance, tap, and circus arts in one of Emerald City’s most popular classes. Work with our professionals on technique, form, and fun. On the last day, you’ll get the chance to show off all of your triple threat skills!

Musical Theatre - Saturdays at 11am and Wednesdays at 5pm

Emerald City’s hottest class is back! Students will get the opportunity to learn songs, choreography, and scenes from a variety of your favorite musicals! Work with Emerald City’s theatre professionals on voice and diction, improvisation, singing, and dancing for the full professional experience.

For ages 7-13, 90 minute classes, tuition: $250

Emerald City Youth Ensemble - Thursdays at 5pm

New Class! Emerald City is proud to announce its very first Youth Ensemble. This group will get the opportunity to work on an actual Emerald City scripts that you may have recently seen on our stages! Possible script titles include How I Became A Pirate, Frosty, and Stinky Cheese Man. Embark on a full theatrical experience, directed by Emerald City’s finest. This class is intended for the student that would like to take their theatre experience to the next level.
