In Fall Session we focus on the process of creating characters and stories through song, dance, storytelling and much more. While doing these things we are also building confidence, teamwork and creative thinking skills. Come join us!

*This class will be held during the week of Thanksgiving on November 22nd and will conclude on December 6th with a final presentation.



Class Descriptions for 3.5 – 5 year olds

Pinkalicious
Wednesdays 3-3:45pm or Saturdays 9-9:45am, 45 minutes, $195
Come join Pinkalicious and her brother Peter on their journey of turning totally pink! Dance and sing along to the tunes of the new hit musical, coming this fall to Emerald City, and learn about responsibility, eating vegetables, sibling relationships and having fun along the way! Students will perform an original Pinkalicious tale on the last day of class.

Pirate Boot Camp
Thursdays 3-3:45pm, 45 minutes, $195
Get that Pirate Booty into shape! If your child loves to explore life above and below the high seas, they’ll love our swash buckling Pirate Boot Camp. Actors will embark on a journey with Emerald City, as they develop their very own pirate characters, solve treasure hunts, and crack secret codes. Our inspiration will be Melinda Long's award winning book, How I Became A Pirate. So walk the plank straight over to Emerald City for an experience you won't forget! On the final day parents will get to see this high sea adventure!

Class Descriptions for 5 – 8 year olds

Jukebox Musicals
Mondays 4-5pm or Saturdays 10-11am, 45 minutes, $210
Rock n’ Roll musicals are all the rage! This jumpin’ musical theatre class will teach students songs, choreography, and scenes from shows like Mamma Mia!, Grease, Hairspray, and more! Work with Emerald City’s theatre professionals on scene study, voice and diction, improvisation, singing, and dancing for the full professional experience. Students will present their songs and scenes at the final recital!

Fairy Tale Musicals
Tuesdays 4-5pm, 60 minutes, $210
Does your child love enchanting musicals like Into The Woods, Wicked, and Beauty and The Beast? Students will get the opportunity to learn songs, choreography, and scenes from a variety of these favorite musicals and more! Work with Emerald City’s theatre professionals on scene study, voice and diction, improvisation, singing, and dancing for the full professional experience. The class will present their songs and scenes on the last day of class!

Youth Ensemble: Wizard of Oz
Wednesdays 4-6pm or Saturdays 11:10am-1:10pm, 120 minutes, $275
This Emerald City Youth Ensembles gets the opportunity to work on an actual Emerald City script! This showcase will be based on the classic musical The Wizard of Oz, which is also apart of Emerald City’s 2010-2011 Season! Embark on a full theatrical experience, directed by Emerald City’s finest. This class is intended for the student that would like to take their theatre experience to the next level. The class will present their show on the final day of class.

Class Descriptions for 7-12 year olds

Youth Ensemble: The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee
Thursdays 4-6pm, 120 minutes, $275
This Emerald City Youth Ensembles gets the opportunity to work on a script and take their theatre experience to the next level. The class will take on the musical comedy The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee where young spellers at a spelling bee learn that winning isn’t everything and that losing doesn’t necessarily make you a loser. The class will present their show on the final day of class.

Youth Ensemble: Wicked
Sundays 3:30-5:30pm, 120 minutes, $275
This Emerald City Youth Ensembles gets the opportunity to work on a script and take their theatre experience to the next level. This class will explore the spellbinding tale of Wicked, the untold story of two unlikely friends Glinda and Elphaba, who are the witches of Oz. Songs include “Popular” and “One Short Day in the Emerald City” and “For Good.” The class will present their show on the final day of class.

Cancellation Policy
Emerald City has the right to cancel a class one week prior to the start date. Refunds will be processed if a class is cancelled. No refunds available unless spot can be filled from the waiting list. If spot can be filled a refund less a $50 administrative fee will be given.
