In Spring Session, we put more emphasis on the fun of getting ready for a performance. During the 12 weeks, the students focus on the process of creating a performance piece for a final show right on the Apollo Theater Mainstage!

Class Descriptions for 3.5 – 5 year olds

Fairy Tale Adventures
Wednesdays at 3pm and Saturdays at 9:00am, 45 minutes, $195
This imaginative class encourages children to explore the basics of storytelling. Popular Fairy Tales will provide the inspiration for this movement and ensemble building session. Students will present their own unique fairy tale at the final recital.

Journey to Neverland
Thursdays at 3pm, 45 minutes, $195
Fly to Neverland with Peter Pan, Wendy, and the Lost Boys to a place where imaginations can run wild! Students will explore many theatre basics such as movement, storytelling, improv, and even some treasure hunts! Students will present their own unique journey at the final recital.

Class Descriptions for ages 5-8

Fairy Tales: The True Story!
Mondays at 4pm, 60 minutes, $210
Our professionals will work with students to create their own scripts based on their favorite Fairy Tales! Using lots of imagination and plenty of spontaneity, this class will allow students to tell their own version of their favorite tales! Their final true fairy tales will be presented at the final recital.

Comedic Musicals
Tuesdays at 4pm and Saturdays at 12:20pm, 60 minutes, $210
Does your child love to laugh and sing? This hot class will focus on songs and scenes from hilarious musicals such as Bye, Bye Birdie, Mary Poppins, and You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown. Students will get the opportunity to learn songs, choreography, and scenes from a variety of these favorite musicals and more! Work with Emerald City’s theatre professionals on scene study, voice and diction, improvisation, singing, and dancing for the full professional experience. Students will present their songs at the final recital.

Pop Musicals
Saturdays at 10:00am, 60 minutes, $210
This jumpin’ musical theatre class will teach students songs, choreography, and scenes from shows like Legally Blonde, Billy Elliot, Shrek, and more! ! Work with Emerald City’s theatre professionals on scene study, voice and diction, improvisation, singing, and dancing for the full professional experience. Students will present their songs at the final recital!

Musical Theatre Youth Ensemble Jr.: Cinderella
Wednesdays at 4pm, 120 minutes, $275
Emerald City’s Youth Ensembles get the opportunity to work on an Emerald City script from our repertoire! This spring’s production will be the musical Cinderella! Embark on a full theatrical experience, directed by Emerald City’s finest. This class is intended for the student that would like to take their theatre experience to the next level. Students will present their show at the final recital

Students will present their show at the final recital.

Cancellation Policy
Emerald City has the right to cancel a class one week prior to the start date. Refunds will be processed if a class is cancelled. No refunds available unless spot can be filled from the waiting list. If spot can be filled a refund less a $50 administrative fee will be given.
